FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Sevierville Fire Department boasts a full-time staff of 18 firemen, a fire inspector, and fire marshal offering 24-hour service to Sevierville citizens, businesses and visitors.

The department has several impressive fire fighting vehicles, including a state of the art tower truck, which has a ladder system capable of reaching heights up to 100 feet. The department prides itself on having the best-equipped, best-trained firefighters possible.

In 2005, the City’s fire protection rating improved to a Class 4, whereas most of the surrounding county fire protection is rated Class 9.
The Class 4 rating can result in significantly reduced fire insurance costs for homeowners and businesses. The department will be adding 9 new firefighters this January with 5 more to follow in the next 4 months.
