City leaders and business leaders continue to work together to promote expansion in the local
economy, while creating welcoming “active” areas that are truly a reflection of Sevierville's “personality”. One outstanding example is the City’s large (150,000 sq. ft.) events and exhibition center, which will begin hosting conventions and trade shows in the fall of 2007. Visitors to these events will be able to stay at the events center hotel (which includes a state-of-the-art indoor waterpark!) and play a round of golf at the City’s nearby 18-hole championship course, or, at the more relaxed 18-hole resort course. The specialty retail, vacation recreation, and resort housing under development in the events center area will complement other similar areas in our City, such as Governor's Crossing and Tanger Five Oaks Outlet Center. Sevierville’s busy downtown is also home to a mix of business and activities, not the least of which is our annual
three-day festival, “Bloomin’ Bluegrass and Barbeque”.

Room for Growth. Unlike its ‘sister’ cities, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and due to the topography of its foothills location, Sevierville continues to be a city where broad tracts of land are available for commercial growth.
